Знаешь, я пробовал, кроме твиттера, ещё Juick и Tumblr — не прижилось. Потом стал пользоваться Facebook — для поддержания контактов с людьми.

И вот сейчас вижу, что это (кто бы мог подумать!) — довольно классный твиттер :-) который позволяет гораздо больше оригинального, а именно: постить тексты, фотографии, ссылки, комментить чужие сообщения (статусы), причём можно не текстом комментить а кнопкой "мне понравилось", делить контакты по группам, писать им приватом, и ещё много чего. Да, ещё есть двухсторонний кросс-пост твиттер/facebook (у меня включён).

Мне больше понравилась Identi.ca. Основана на открытом ПО, обладает всеми возможностями Твиттер и сама в Твиттер транслирует. Позволяет постить через Jabber. Ограничение в 140 символов тоже имеет.

Хм. А зачем плодить сущности, и ставить отдельную софтину для каждого сервиса? Пост+флуд в комментариях волне попадает в рамки определения IM. Для экономии времени вполне подойдет команда U #post_number :-)
